On Saturday our beloved dog, Cogsworth, passed away. He was 14 yrs old. I had Cogsworth before Doug and I married. We all loved him very much. Elijah has been sad all weekend and has cried on and off. We have not said anything to Sarah, don't even know how. She will miss him. She always went right to his fence and wanted him out to play with her anytime she went outside. We are all upset about this. Don't think we will get another pet anytime soon.

Sarah, Mommy, Grandma and Pop-pop all have birthdays within a week of each other. Grandma came to town for the weekend of her birthday so we celebrated with her. Uncle Tim brought Grandma and we all went out to eat. Uncle Tim and Roxanna got us a cake to celebrate. I don't know if you can read it our not, but the lady at the grocery store mispelled birthday!! We all had a great laugh. I so understand, I am a horrible speller! Pop-pop came in this weekend, so I will share his day tomorrow.

Soccer has started again. Last Saturday was the first game. The kids had a blast. Elijah got a goal and was very happy!! They are so cute at this age playing. Most of the kids on Elijah's team have never played before. There is not a lot of team effort, but they are so cute getting the ball and going down the field. Sometimes they go the wrong way, but generally someone gets them turned around!!

Saturday we had Sarah's birthday. Everyone had a blast. Sarah loved opening her gifts. She wanted to open and play, much to her brother's dismay. He wants to open everything and then play! She did not understand that there was more and would get so mad that as soon as she opened something he would take it away and give her another bag. She has been going from one toy to another playing! She had a great birthday.

Well, the long awaited post is finally here!!! So here is the story. I was going to trim up Sarah's hair. I have not done this in a very long time, so I needed to take about 2 inches off to get the split ends. Really not that bad since her hair has really gotten long. So, I made my cut at 2 inches. Then I pulled up the next section to cut and cut 2 inches, then I realized that I did not pull up a new section of hair, but I pulled up the same section I just cut 2 inches off. Sooooooo, I cut 4 inches off of the same spot. CRAPPY, CRAP!!!!! I had to cut 4 inches off all the way around. There was nothing I could do about it. I must admit, she really does look cute with her new cut. No longer a baby, but a big girl. Stinky pot has also stayed dry all day for my mom. She has been peeing on the potty on and off all week. The little stinker!!!! No smiles in these pictures, Sarah was ready to go to school and did not want to stop for pictures!!!

Here are a few pictures from Sarah's first day of school last week. She was so excited about her backpack and getting to put it on her back to carry it. She is still having a blast at school. She gets so excited when she sees we are at school. I am so glad she is liking it so much.
Last night Sarah got a somewhat unplanned major haircut. Now that I have you on the edge of your seat to see what, how, and why I will keep you waiting until I have pictures to show you!!!! How is that for a tease? I have to keep you coming back for more!!!!!

Sarah turned 3 years old today! She had a great birthday today. I went on and sent her to her first day of preschool. She had a ball. I was going to wait until next week, but felt she was doing great and my surgery did not bother her so I let her go on. We have not done therapies this week, so it gave her something to do. Tonight we went out to eat and had ice cream. We are going to have a party next weekend. I wanted to make sure I was up to a party so I gave myself an extra week for the party. It is going to be all Dora so she will have a great time. Here are a few birthday pictures. I will do first day of preschool pictures another day.

Well, the surgery went better than expected. God took away all of the problems with laproscopic surgery and I was able to have a partial laproscopic hysterectomy. I went home the next day and have had very little pain. In fact, I have a hematoma(big buise) due in part to me being up too much too fast. I so am not into being a patient. That would so totally require patience, which I do not claim to have!!!! I stayed in the bed all day yesterday and I am hurting all over today and not in my stomach. My joints hurt from being lazy!!! Sarah was so mad at me when I came home on Saturday and would not have anything to do with me. The little stinker! Elijah was excited to see us, but I think more excited to see daddy. They played all day long! Maybe I should go away more often. My kids don't seem to mind!! They have been good and keep a check on mommy to make sure I stay around. My only problem so far is hot flashes. Man, I did not think about those!!! Hope these hormones kick in soon!! I am freezing the kiddos. Elijah thinks it is winter.
