This morning we took the kids to the water park. They both had a blast. It took Elijah awhile to get use to the water, but then he had a lot of fun. Sarah took right to it. She loves the water. They only lasted about 1 1/2 hours and then they had enough. We grabbed a snack and Sarah nearly fell asleep eating so we left, got some lunch and came on home. Both kids took a good nap. Here are some pictures of our fun!
Oh, I forgot, but Sarah crawled across the playroom floor today!!!! She has done a short crawl, but never this far. She was so proud. Of course the camera was upstairs so I would not forget it and she has yet to crawl again. Maybe soon I will get it on video to share!

Found my camera
It was buried deeper than I thought! LOL!!! Here is more of the fun......
I love seeing Abbe's hair flying and Elijah's expressions! They are so cute. Olivia was cute trying to do what the big kids were doing. Can you believe she is only 6 months older than Sarah? She is so much bigger than Sarah, and way more active. Sarah did her best keeping up with them today. She was right there doing what they were. She was taking a nap during the ball bouncing fun!
Oh where, Oh where...
is my camera? Yep, I have lost my camera. I do not know where it is. I have searched the house and it is not here, or it is buried deeper than I thought. None the less, it is lost. Elijah and Sarah have friends over this morning, Abbe and Olivia. They are so cute playing together. Here are all of them being Bob the Builder. Hmm, yes I used Elijah's camera, so the pics are not real good, but you can see how cute they are:

Much better day!!!
Today has been so much better. Sarah is back to normal it seems. I don't even think I have heard her cough today. She has a snotty nose, but nothing else. The added reflux meds seems to have stopped the vomiting. She is in a very independent mood. "Mine" meaning I can do it myself is the word of the day. Today in therapy she stacked blocks for the first time!!! Yippee. This is a 15-18 month task and if you stack 4-6 it is 19-24 month task. Sarah stacked 3 and tried the 4th, but knocked it over. What a big girl. She has also learned how to get into a sitting position from a crawl position, and is proud of herself when she does. She is so funny, if she does something new or something that really takes a lot of effort, when she succeeds she claps. We are so proud of her. Here is a video clip of her bouncing. She loves to bounce and will do it for hours. She wants to bounce high, she does not like a soft bounce. Listen to that beautiful laugh. Elijah enjoys bouncing too!

Today
Sorry, I am too tired to be creative. Well, Sarah slept well last night, woke a few times to cough, but went right back to sleep. Got up in a happy mood and seemed just fine. Since she seemed fine and we have missed 2 weeks of therapy due to the surgery I decided to take her to therapy. We get to therapy and are waiting our turn when she puked all over both of us. Gross. She then seemed fine. The puke was clear liquid, more like stomach acid not really vomit. So we stayed. Started therapy and she was doing wonderful and then she leaned over on the therapist and puked again. Oops, sorry. She was fine, so finished therapy. We stopped and got lunch and then headed home, yep, she puked again. All over the car seat----really gross. Got her home and cleaned her up, took a nap, got her up to go the the doctors, yep she puked again. One more time before we left and the once at the doctors office for good measure. Yep 6 times in a little more than 3 hours. Doctor thinks it is from the steroid yesterday upsetting her stomach. We are going to increase her reflux meds for a few days and see if it gets better. Yep, she has croup, no we don't need a pulmonologist appointment yet. The throat is not fully healed. So for now we will wait and see. Once the throat has had more time to heal,if she gets croup again then we will go to the pulmonologist. So that is our day so far. Tomorrow will be better, tomorrow will be better, tomorrow will be better. Yep trying to convince myself of that!

FUN! FUN! FUN!
The seals have invaded.
Our house must be under attack! lol! We can not seem to kick this bug. Both kids have it. They wait until night then they start that seal bark cough....croup, well maybe. Sarah prior to surgery had a definite bark quality to her cough. But this is just really deep sounding, different than before. Both kids have the same cough. It sounds horrible, but neither one acts sick during the day. Oh no, they save it up for nighttime so mommy is up all night and feels exhausted. Sarah will not let Doug comfort her if she is sick, she just wants mommy. She got up at 7am, since I had been up numerous times in the night, Doug got up with her. He said she cried and fussed the whole time. I got up with Elijah(who joined us in our bed at 4am with the thunderstorm) at 9a and she came right to me and acted just fine. She was just giving daddy a hard time. Of course she giggled and went back to him and started playing. Is she spoiled? No way, although she did smell that way this morning when she got up. Glad daddy got that poopy diaper!!!
By the way, any suggestions on how to convince a 4 year old not to be scared during a storm? He is terrified of the thunder. The lightening does not seem to bother him. He was fine with storms until several months ago he stayed with a friend and it happened to storm, just a little, fast passing shower and I do not know what the friend said, but now he is terrified. He says this friend told him that storms were scary and could hurt you bad. Way too much info for a child. We have always tried to teach him that God created the storms and he would protect us. Now if it warrants we do go to the basement, etc if a tornado threatens, don't play outdoors if storming, but we do not over-react to storms either.
Here are a few more profile pages for the adoption. Hmm, I think there are about 16 total. You can click on the picture to enlarge it. I promise to take more pictures this week so you do not have to endure profile pages anymore!!
