We have been busy here at our house. Elijah finished up soccer. Seemed like all of his friends had birthdays. He is reading now in school and his sight word list has really grown. He has also grown and now several of his pants are a bit short! He can count to 100 with minimal help. He is really learning tons at school. Sarah has learned to kick the ball and play soccer. She can dress and undress with minimal help and is talking a lot more. She has actually started talking some at school(she tends to not talk around people she does not know well). She too has grown and is between sizes so it is hard to fit her right now!! Tonight Elijah let her play his leapster and she actually did okay. Our van has been in the shop 3 times in the last week and a half, but is now finally well. Sarah has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. She is doing great taking her medication. We go back in the morning to have her lab work redrawn to check her levels on meds. Praying it is in a good range. I hate to see her stuck. Doug and I are doing good. We went today and got Christmas presents for the kids. I only have 3 people left to buy for. I might get it done by Thanksgiving. I always try to be done with shopping by Thanksgiving, after that the stores are too crowded for me!!! Well, that is a quick update on us.

School Halloween Parties
Both of the kids had Halloween activities last Friday. Sarah had activities throughout her day with a special snack and they got to go trick-or-treating in the office. They wore their costumes all day. Elijah had a pizza party and then a costume parade. They both had a great day. We then went to the town square on Saturday for their Halloween trick-or-treating. Our church did not have their annual Fall Festival. I really missed it. Next year we will only do the church, no trick-or-treating, just goes against everything we believe in. If we had not already gotten costumes and told the kids about the fun at church before it was cancelled, we would have stayed home this year.

Still Here!!!
Well, it has been a wild week, as usual for us these days!!! Praise the Lord it has been great. We are going today to talk to the social worker about international adoption. The cost is a bit more, but after waiting a year with no end in sight, I think we are ready. Once we make a decision, I will let you know. We may also have some fundraising events that I will post. Sarah went on Tuesday to have her eyes checked. She did not pass her vision test at her well visit. The eye doctor said she is slightly far sighted, but in the normal range for this age!! Yippee no glasses...not sure how I would convince the princess to keep them on!! Elijah had his soccer awards on Tuesday. I can not seem to find my camera. There are tons of pictures to share. I need to go find it. I will try to blog more as soon as I find the camera.

"Signs" from God
Have you ever known that something physical was a "sign" from God? So much of our knowledge is from the Bible. Through salvation I have a personal relationship with God and I know He is working in my life. His blessings are undeniable. They are miracles that He has showered us with. When Doug and I were dating, he shared one day that he had been praying about meeting the right person and had come to a crossroad. He prayed for God to give him a sign. On the way to work there was a billboard advertising a Billy Graham crucade and the sign said something to the effect of --Are looking for a sign from God, here it is. Although that sign was for a crucade, God knew what Doug was going to need before Doug even asked for it. I think God can be very literal in talking to us. This week we have been dealing with coming to the one year from the date we were approved to adopt another child and were officially waiting. With this we have to update our paperwork, physicals, our fees are adjusted based on current fee schedule and our current income. In addition to the added cost, I have now been waiting longer than a pregnant woman waits and coming off a hysterectomy I am just ready to have a baby. Needless to say this week has been a bit emotional for me. After praying one day, I came to a sign that read "When prayers go up, blessings come down". God can bless us in so many ways, and He has our family. We know we are going to have another child. We are secure in that. I, of course, want it now. The next day, I was praying to have a placement before our update(which was this morning). I then saw the following sign--"Do not worry about tomorrow, God is already there". Ok God, I get it. You know our future and it is perfect. We are waiting on God to reveal His miracle blessing for our family. PRAISE THE LORD!
