January in Review

Life has been busy here. We are adjusting and getting into a routine. The month started off with us finishing up Christmas with Doug's family. Elizabeth held Isaac for the first time. It snowed. We took Isaac to church for the first time and had our first homevisit. It snowed. It snowed again. Sarah has started becoming more independent and verbal. She told me one morning at breakfast "I did dit" (I do it) she then opened the cabinet got a nola bar (granola) and told me to turn on the "heve" (TV). We are going next week to have her allergy tested to find out what is upsetting her tummy. She is doing great! Elijah has not had a full week of school since before Christmas. He is doing great in school. He lost a top tooth and has a new haircut that makes him look so grown! Pictures of his new do are coming!!!! We also hosted our birthday party for Jesus in Jan due to traveling to pick up Isaac in Dec. We had a great time with some wonderful friends.

Isaac is 2 months old today!!!!

Wow, has it been 2 months already? Wow, has it only been 2 months? I love my little guy so much. He is doing great. He has great head control and loves to lay on his tummy and look around. He got a swing this weekend and it is his favorite! He has rolled from back to tummy and tummy to back a few times. I am not sure this is actually a skill or just accidents. We will see. He is so cute and loves to be held. He has started cooing and has smiled a time or two.

We had a great room!!! The kids loved it. Glad it was so fun since we spent the most time here.

Magic Kingdom

I took over 200 pictures at Magic Kingdom, so this is the condensed version!!! This was our best day. We still had a shortened day and did not eat much, but we did the most in Magic Kingdom. If I had it to do all over, I would have spent all 3 days in Magic Kingdom. We only did a small portion of Disney, guess we will need to plan another trip, years from now when this one is not as vivid!!!

Downtown Disney

On our second day of Disney, mom and Sarah was down with the tummy bug. I was iffy on how I felt and very weak. We switched some things aroung and made this our down day. Later in the afternoon everyone but mom felt like going to Downtown Disney to eat and see what was there. We had fun, but cut it short when Sarah relapsed.

Hollywood Studios

Well, the tummy bug hit me on our first day of Disney. Doug and Angie & Roger took the kids, while mom stayed with Isaac and I. I have never been so sick in all my adult life. The kids loved their day. Sarah loved the characters. They started the day with a character breakfast. Sarah got to dance in the parade. She had a ball!! Elijah loved the army men and the Toy Story 3 attractions.

Disney or Bust!

As we began our travel to Disney things began to unfold that we never dreamed. Elijah got sick right after we started to my mom to pick mom and Angie and Roger up. We really thought it was that he had eaten too much at his school Christmas party, so we continued on. He did not get sick again, just complained of his tummy. We thought we were out of the woods, but only time would tell.......

Christmas morning

The kids had tons of fun opening gifts from Santa. Elijah loved his guitar and space shuttle. Sarah loved her MP3 player and princess oven. Isaac, well, he slept! We played for just a bit and then realized that the weather was turning bad fast, so we decided to head home a day early to make sure we made it before the weather. We had a bit of trouble getting up one hill just down the road, but we did make it home.

We had a great Christmas with Nana. We opened gifts Christmas Eve. We enjoyed a great supper then gifts. The kids were so excited.

Now that we are back from all of our traveling, we are adjusting to a new routine. Hopefully that will translate in to more blog post!!!
