Oh the joys of body painting....I mean finger painting.

I am still having internet problems. For some reason I can not get pictures to upload easily. I have been trying to post this for 2 days now, with more photos. I will keep trying!!!

Visit with Nana and Angie

Nana and Angie came last week and stayed until Thursday. They were a great help. They helped unpacking, watching the kids and decorating. The house is basically done. I have a few things to put away in the office space,Doug is cleaning out the garage today and I need to put one more coat of paint on the foyer and touch up a few spots now that we are all moved in. It feels great to be all moved in and functioning!!!! Now we just need to figure out the schedule and how long it takes to get to places and the best routes to take. We are going to the drive-in theater tonight if the weather is ok. We are going to see Aliens vs Monsters. Elijah is so excited. He has never been to a drive in. It is sprinkling a little her, but it is not suppose to last or get bad, so hoping the weather cooperates with our plans!!!! Here are a few pictures of Nana and Angie with the kids. Sarah was not in a picture taking mood.

Notes to self.....

1. Do not cut child's hair when the child has hiccups. They will jerk when they hiccup and the bangs will not be straight.

2. Make haircut appointment for Sarah to correct the hiccup noted above.

Needless to say today has not been the best of days. Nana and Angie left this morning and Elijah cried on the way to school. It was a really long trip. Then Sarah seems to think that since she has been held all week that this practice should be continue. She was also major drama queen. She would be doing something and would just drop to the ground and just start crying. Not sure what the issue was. They are both sleeping well now, so things are looking up!!!! Well, got to go get a bath I painted the foyer this afternoon and have some in my hair where I bumped the wall.

Playroom Help Needed

Here is my current arrangement for the playroom. This is the 3rd attempt at an arrangement. I think this may work, but who knows what I will think up tomorrow!!! This is the wall as you go up the stairs. This is the only wall that is a full height wall that the toy shelves will fit on. The middle one is angled to keep the return air vent open for the heat/air system. This is the half wall where the steps are. We can not put anything here that Sarah can climb on, don't want her to climb over the wall. The red mat is over the "stage" as my kids call it, that is a permanent fixture that I think is covering part of the heating/air unit. This is the wall with the sloped ceiling that we have to be careful what we put on this wall, since we tend to knock ourselves out when we hit the ceiling unexpectedly!! Here is my beutiful princess, who with her brother, makes this move so worth while for their future experiences!!!

I can not get pictures to post to the blog since we went to wireless.  I am trying to see if it is Windows Live or my computer.  I will share photos as soon as I can get it figured out!!!

Still Unpacking

We still have a few more boxes to unpack. The playroom and garage are the worse. Mom has been helping with the house and it looks really great. The playroom is the last room left and we seem to have run out of steam. I just am too tired to unpack another box. The garage, well that is Doug's. All I can say is that the van bearly fits and we definately need to work on that!!! I have waited for years for a garage and plan to park inside. The kids seem to have adjusted with no problems. Elijah is really loving the outdoors. It has really been good for him. We are going to have fun this summer. I tried to post a few pictures, but can not get them to post. I will try again tomorrow.

Still unpacking

Well, we all made the move intact. The kids are adjusting well. They are loving the new home and enjoyed grandma here over the weekend and now Nana and Angie are here. Elijah is loving being outdoors and going to the creek with Nana. This country air is really increasing his appetite!! He is eating more than he has ever ate. Sarah is loving the attention. She does not like all of the boxes. She has had the stomach virus, but is much better today. I finally got the computer up last night. We live so far out we had to go wireless for service. Took me a few tries to get it right!!! Well, guess I need to go unpack a few boxes. I will try to blog more often and get you some pictures of the new place soon!!!!!

Kids having Ele-fun!!

This the first time Sarah has played with the Ele-fun game. She really loved it. Elijah has always loved this game. It was one of the first games that he really liked. Hope you are enjoying your day at home sitting at the computer as we slave away at carrying all of these boxes!!!!

Quick Update

The move is going great!!! Elijah's room is painted, his beds were delivered, and we have completed about 98% of the decorating. It is really a great space room. I love the glow in the dark stars. They are great fun. After 3 coats of paint, Sarah's room is finally painted. I am starting the decorating tomorrow. The kitchen is set-up and ready to go. I am having the hardest time with touching up the paint in the foyer and kitchen. When I paint the spot it is a different color. I even took a piece of the drywall and had it colored match to see if I had the wrong color, but it did the same thing. Guess after I paint the hall bath I will paint the foyer and kitchen, oh the fun. We have about 95% of our stuff that is boxed moved. We plan to get the other 5% tomorrow and Friday. Saturday we are moving the furniture and will spend out first night in our new home!!!! I am ready to live out of one home!!!

We are doing a lease to purchase on our current home. The couple know our realtor. They are really nice and are expecting a baby this summer. They hope to close on the house by Nov, but we are writing a year lease just to prevent more paperwork if they can not. Praying that it goes well. We really do not want to be in the rental business!!!

I am going to do a few scheduled post tonight for your weekend. We are unable to get the highspeed DSL in our new location, so we are waiting on a wireless router. I don't know when I will be able to do a live post!!!! I will update as soon as I can!!!

Favorite Things

Sarah is really growing up fast.  She is walking, climbing, jumping and being a princess.  She still loves music and any toy that plays music when you push a button.  She has learned that she can pull out the leg rest on the recliner and use it to climb into the recliner, her favorite place to sit.   She loves cheese puffs and doritos and make a big mess with them.  She is so cute with cheese all over her face. Want a kiss??????

House Closing

We did close on our house on Friday.  It was a long dramatic process.  Leave it to us to do it up right!!!!  Since we were buying from an out of state bank things were a bit odd.  There was a couple of errors on the paperwork and they had to go through the banks title company via phone and wait for them to correct it and email it to us, oh the fun.  We did not know until Friday morning that we were positively closing.  In fact we found out at 10:30 that we would close at the 11:00 time we were given on Thursday.  How is that for preparing ahead?  It was the bank's title company's fault as well as our mortgage company for not getting our paperwork in until Thursday night(even though we were told last we everything was ready.  Just imagine how the phone conversation went on Thursday at 5:30 pm when they called me for something.  Let's just say I was not very nice.).  In the end, we did close and we are now the proud owners of 2 houses.  Know anyone that needs a house?  Praying God sells this one FAST!!!!  Since we did not know until last minute, I was not able to find a sitter for the kids for closing.  The kids did okay.  During one of the wait times they got a bit restless.  Elijah was under the table and Sarah was trying to escape.   Most of the time they played well together.  We took a couple of loads out to the house and started the clean-up.  I plan on having everything but the furniture out there by the time we move on the 14th of March.  I am going to start painting next week.  I will keep you posted on our progress.
