Elijah thinks that he must go fishing everytime we visit Pop-pop and Karen's. He is really loving to go fishing. He has been several times here at the house and told Doug last night that they had to go fishing tonight. Everytime we have dug in the yard he comes along side us and gets all of the worms to fish with. Hope those worms stay in the garage, some worms look snake-likeish. I don't like snakes!!!!

Disney On Ice
Pop-pop and Karen took all of us to see Disney on Ice this weekend. It was great!!! We all had a wonderful time. The kids did not start out liking the show. Sarah I think was scared by the loud beginning and just not sure of what was happening. Elijah is very sensitive to noise and light. I forgot his cotton for the ears, but he adapted quickly. They really got into the show. We were on the front row right in the middle. The absolute best seats. One of the characters came off the ice and shook the kids hands. The fairy princess at the end looked right at Sarah and waved at her. Sarah was blowing kisses and smiling from ear to ear. She is really getting into the princess thing. Elijah really liked the cars and lion king parts of the show. Sarah cried when we left and tried to go back in.

Phone Conversation
Sorry I have not blogged in a week. We went to Pop-pop and Karen's this weekend to see Disney on Ice. I will upload pictures tomorrow to share. Now on to today's post. This is the actual phone conversation that occurred this afternoon.
Me: Where are you?
Doug: On the way home.
Me: Well you better hurry.
Doug: (laughing) Why?
Me: There is a SNAKE in the yard and you need to come get it!!!
Doug: (hysterically laughing at this point) I am on my way.
He was home in just a few minutes, but he lost the snake. HOW DO YOU LOSE A SNAKE!?!?!?!?!? I found it about 30 minutes later. Needless to say the snake was tramatized from my screaming and Doug was able to get rid of it! Doug then reminded me that we are in the country. I let him know that since we had a snake in the city, I figured TN snakes were confused and would not be in the country. Not so excited about country living right now!!!

She can do it!!!
We have been introducing potty training with Sarah. She is doing great. If I put her on the potty every 1-2 hours she stays dry and will pee everytime she is put on the potty. She tells me occasionally that she needs to pee-pee, by whining and pointing to the potty or holding herself and whining. One problem we have is her pulling down her pants to potty. I just have not been able to teach her this. I have tried. Yesterday I asked the OT to work on this(we will work on getting the pants up later). Holly showed Sarah how to pull down her pants by putting her thumbs inside the pull up and pushing down as she sits. Guess what?!?!?! She did it!!! She can get her pants down!!!! Of course, by the time she gets her pants down she is already peeing and I have cleaned up tons, but that is ok. Getting her pants down by herself is a BIG accomplishment. She will get the timing down the more we do. I am just so proud of my big girl!!!! I am also a little sad that she is growing up too fast. She is achieving so much faster than we ever imagined. I guess I was figuring that she would stay little longer, but she is not. She is really on target with most of her peers. I am so proud of her and what she is doing. God has really blessed her with a special testimony on His greatness. I know He is and will use her to be a mighty testimony of His love and blessings. Our God is so good!!! He has given me such an awesome responsibility to raise 2 beautiful angels. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

Busy, Busy Weekend
Wow, what a busy weekend we had. Doug no longer has to work overtime on Fridays, so we have been taking advantage of the longer weekend. We mowed the lawn (all 6.5 acres), cleaned out around the pond, planted 30 small trees across the front of the property as a wind break, moved around a few plants in flower beds that were way too crowded, planted my ferns for the front porch, played with the kids, and much more. I am tired just typing all of that. We also attended Elijah's going to kindergarten picnic at church and he also had cubbie graduation last night for Awana'a. Pop-pop also meet us for supper last night on his way to Kentucky. I was so glad that the kids slept in this morning to 7:30!!!! This week is also busy. I moved around Sarah's therapies, so we have 2 today, 1 tomorrow and 1 Wed. Elijah has a field trip on Thurday(when we normally have 2 therapies). Then on Friday we are going to Pop-pop's and Karen's to go to Disney on Ice on Saturday, then home on Sun. Just another fun filled week of life that God has blessed us with. We have such a wonderful God that has blessed us in soooooo many ways. We provides for our needs and gives us so many of our desires.

NO, NO, NO....STOP
These are Sarah's favorite words right now. Not sure why stop is a favorite, she does use it appropriately, but I am not sure that she has really heard it that much. No is what I seem to use 99.9% of the time, so I know she hears it alot!!!! She is on a verbal growth spurt. She will repeat everything and is using more and more words on a regular bases. She surprises me everyday with a new word. Today's word is "uice cup"(juice cup, she has repeated this word 50,000 times today. She is also talking clearer and more people are able to understand her. She is also talking to most people which is very new. Up until now she would only talk to certain people and only if she wanted too. She is constantly talking now!!! Today she also did her version of snapping her fingers. It is sooooooooo cute. You know I remember someone saying that when kids are little you want them to hurry up and walk and talk and then when they learn these you want them to sit down and be quiet!!! I so understand this right now. Elijah and Sarah are both on talking tangents right now. I am so tired of listening!!!!
I typed this post on Thursday but was unable to get it to post so let's see if it works today!!!!

Easter Egg Hunt
The kids had a blast at the egg hunt. Elijah was all into finding as many eggs as he could. All by himself, he found 50 eggs. He was so proud of getting so many. Sarah was content with finding just one egg and playing with it. She did eventually pick up a few more and enjoyed rolling them on the sidewalk. We also colored eggs at Nana's house, but mommy forgot to get pictures. They had tons of fun with this also. Then Elijah, Nana, and mommy hid and found eggs in the yard while Sarah napped.

My Easter Bunnies
We went to my mom's for Easter this year. The kids had a great time. We went on an egg hunt on Saturday. I will post pictures of that tomorrow. They both had tons of fun. Sunday we went to the church where Doug and I were married. It was great to see friends again. I saw more people this time than I have ever seen on a visit home. It was great to catch up with everyone. I am planning on going home for a week this summer and helping mom with a few things and hope to make some time to visit with friends again! Here are the kids in their outfits. I did not take a family picture. I will do better next time!!! The computer seems to be doing better so hopefully I will be able to post more often and with tons of pictures!!!!

Update on us
Sorry for all of the short post, my internet service is just not getting it!!! I am currently using Sarah's therapist's computer while she is in therapy. We are all doing well. Everyone is enjoying the new home. Elijah's favorite part is the yard and just getting to run. He was so whiny during the rain last week because he was use to being outside!!! He is going to have a great summer. He is registered for kindergarten and did wonderful on the entrance test!!!! He is ready to go to his new school. Sarah is keeping me on my toes. She is into everything!!! Her latest fun thing to do is stuff her stuff animals in the toliet. Oh how my laundry is increasing. I think I am going to have to buy the toliet locks, then my laundry will increase from the rest of us wetting our pants trying to undo the locks!!!! She can open doors so closing the door does not work. She is a little afraid of the seat lid and it falling back on her so closing the lid helps some, but you know boys will never remember to do this!!!! She is definately hitting the 3 yr old independence stage. Me do is her most often use phrase right after NO. She is talking more and we are no longer using sign language in an effort to get her to talk even more. She loves to sing and is so cute singing to me. It just melts me. Potty training is going good. She asked twice yesterday to go potty. So maybe she will not be so hard after all. Well, got to go Sarah is done. Hope everyone has a great Easter if I don't get to post again this week.

Trying pictures again!!!
Let's see if this works today!!! I played with the wireless connection and hope that it helps. We will see. We are doing great. Sarah is loving the new home and thinks the dirt here taste better than the dirt at the old house. I don't know what is up with her, she eats dirt fast. I can not take my eyes off her!!! Elijah is loving the outdoors. He wants to be outside all of the time. It is not good on cold or rainy days!!!! We had a ton of rain yesterday. The yard was beginning to look like our pond. It is fine today and the boys are out measuring off for some trees we are planning on getting tomorrow. A local nursery is having an auction and we are hoping to find some great deals!!! Well, if the pictures post today I will get back in the groove of blogging and posting pictures!! Have a great weekend!
